Masters in the Morning
Our Program: We have put together a fantastic program for homeschoolers that is educational, creative and super fun! The program combines art history with projects inspired by master artists and elements of design. Students are introduced to a wide range of artists, styles, and mediums during each 12 week session. Instructors encourage creativity, perseverance and confidence.
In the Masters in the Morning program, students will develop an artful eye, and learn new skills that will help them better express themselves. We value the process of making art rather than focusing on the end product, however our students are producing some pretty amazing pieces of art! Check out our gallery.
Classes are held at Workshop13, an awesome art studio in the town of Ware. We use only quality materials, and the classes are taught by professional artists and experienced teachers.
Typical Day: Our mornings start with a warm-up game followed by a visual presentation of an artist or style we are studying. Next we have a snack and then launch into the art project. Clean-up is a group effort, and the studio will be completely put back before transitioning. Since students work at different paces, we schedule time to finish projects to their satisfaction. At the end of each session, parents are invited to an art exhibit where students will be encouraged to share, talk about, or demonstrate their art.
