Fall Felting Workshops!

Explore the wonderful world fiber arts! I’m happy to offer a series of wet felting workshops this fall that are geared toward beginner-intermediate level felters.  You will learn a variety of felting and surface design techniques and come home with a fabulous and functional piece of art!

Workshops are held at the wonderful studio space, Workshop13 in the town of Ware, MA.

I’m also avaliable for evening classes, sip-n-felt parties, or felting or art related birthday parties for kids.  Contact me for more information.


Wet Felted Slipper Workshop

$80/Person + $25  materials fee

Saturday, October 15th, 9:30am – 4pm
Suitable for teens& adults
Max 7 students

 

In this beginner-friendly workshop students will learn the technique of wet felting around a resist to create a pair of cozy wool slippers with anti-slip leather soles. You will learn about different types of wool, how to calculate shrinkage, and surface design techniques such as cut-aways and needle felting. You will be felting the slippers around your foot (or your friend’s foot) for a perfect fit! This workshop is somewhat labor intensive, but well worth it!

Nuno Felted Collage Bag Workshop

$65/Person+ $20 materials fee

Max 7 students
Create a one-of-a-kind bag full of texture and personality in this beginner friendly workshop.  Choose your favorite colors of silk, merino fibers, coordinating solids, curly fibers, lustrous bamboo and sparkly Angelina fibers to create a fabulous bag.

Wet Felted Cat Cave or Vessel Workshop

$80/Person+ a $25-$40 materials fee depending on the size of your cat!

Max 7 students
Create a cozy cat cave based on your cat’s personality. Is your cat playful or serious? If you don’t have a cat, this can easily be turned into a vessel of sorts. In this workshop you will learn how to felt around a flat resist to create a seamless 3D object,  how to add texture, shape and different surface design techniques. This workshop is somewhat labor intensive but you will leave with a piece of art that your cat will love it!
